Obituary of Arlana Jean Guiler

Arlana Jean Guiler, beloved wife of Randy Winczura of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the age of 39 years. Arlana came to Calgary in 1990 to work for CBC Newsworld, where she also met Randy. She later became employed as a web editor with the city of Calgary. Arlana was a very creative person who enjoyed scrapbooking, website design and music. She played clarinet with the Westwinds Music Society for several years and was taking violin lessons. During her time spent at home with her illness, she continued to take courses by correspondence from the University of Athabasca towards her degree. Arlana is survived by her parents, Tim and Sharon Guiler of Canmore, AB; sister and brother-in-law Vona Guiler and Phil Veldhuis of Winnipeg, MB; and brother Derek Guiler of Montreal, QC. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Timmy, Jayna, Lyndsey and Brandon; great-nephew, Andrew; and her loving dog Shadow. Celebration of Arlana’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, May 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
