Obituary of Bracha Paul
Bracha Paul of Calgary, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006 at the age of 85 years.
Bracha was born in Sokoli, Poland. At the age of twelve, she moved with her family to Israel. The rest of their large extended family perished in the Holocaust. She married Ossi in 1942, and together, with their two young children, immigrated to Canada in 1953. She has resided in Calgary since retiring in 1984.
Bracha is the loving and devoted mother to son and daughter-in-law Izak and Hindy of Calgary; and daughter and son-in-law Betty and Rob Kefford of Sydney, Australia. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Jason and Orly, Karen and Eli, Mark, Jan and Rich, and Erin; great-grandchildren, Noa, Eli and Sarah Gila; brother Eliezer Gornostansky; sister Sarah Greenfas; and numerous other relatives in Israel. Bracha was predeceased by her devoted husband Ossi (Oswald) Paul in 2003, to whom she was married for sixty-one years.
Funeral Services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, (North East Corner of Highway 22X & 37th Street S.W.,) Monday, May 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Internment to follow at the Erlton Street Jewish Cemetery (30th Avenue & Erlton Street S.W.).
