Kay was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland on April 15, 1920. As a young adult she trained in England as a nurse. In Ballymena, she practiced her profession for a short time before coming to Calgary in the mid 1950’s. They moved to Lethbridge, AB in 1964 where she worked as a nurse in the Lethbridge Auxiliary Hospital. In 1973, Tibor and Kay moved to DeWinton, AB and Kay continued to work as a nurse at the Calgary General Hospital until her retirement.
Kay is survived by her dear sister Philomena Magill of Northern Ireland; her nephew, Danny Cronin (Claire) of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in the U.S.A., Northern Ireland and England.
