Obituary of Joseph Delia

Joseph (Joe) Edgar Delia, beloved husband of Shirley Delia of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Joe was born in Malta, GC. on April 29, 1926 and grew up during the war. He came to Canada with his family in 1965. In 1954, he married Shirley Hopkins, the love of his life. They would enjoy a wonderful fifty-two years together. Joe owned and operated a successful business for twenty years. He was a very spiritual man, who loved the Lord. He had a very outgoing nature, enjoyed life and loved his family, who he was always there for. They will sadly miss him. Besides his loving wife Shirley, Joe will be remembered by a daughter, Valerie Barrie and two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lynn, Michael and Barbara; five grand-children, Amber, Rebecca, Justin, Matthew and Jamie. Joe is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Ronald and Joyce Delia of St. Catherine’s ON, and a brother-in-law Ronald Hopkins. A Private Family Service will be held.
