Obituary of Rozsi Pernisch
It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Rozsi Pernisch on Monday, May 15, 2006 at Extendicare Cedars Villa, at the age of 92 years.
Rozsi was born in Budapest, Hungary, and after living in Slovakia until she was twenty-one years old, she immigrated to South Africa via Palestine. In 1978, she joined her family in Canada and has lived here happily ever since. Her family and friends will always miss and remember her for the loving person she was, her beautiful smile, kindness to everyone, her outstanding baking and for her warm welcome extended to all.
Roszi, loving mother to her daughters and sons-in-law, Renate and Helmut Werneburg of Calgary, and Sonja and Michael Philip of Oakville, ON; cherished grandmother of Anthony and Tammy Hull of London, England, Stephen and Clare Hull of Calgary, Juliet and Gord Steward of Port Moody, B.C., Natasha and Michel Dumas of Abilene, TX, Heidi Philip-Hardie and Norm Hardie of Toronto, ON. She was greatly loved and will always be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Alexander, Samantha, Christine, Matthew, Roger, Ryan, Patrick, Melanie, Jacob, Brady, Cassandra, Dexter, Katie Bell and Lucas. Rozsi was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband of thirty-six years, Sylvester Pernisch.
At Rozsi’s request, a Private Funeral Service will be held. Roszi will be laid to rest at a later date beside her adored husband in South Africa.
