Obituary of Margarite Benkhe

Margarite ‘Ruth’ Benkhe (nee Holden), beloved wife of Mr. Jack Benkhe of Calgary, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2006, at the age of 67 years. Ruth was born on October 10, 1938 in Rimbey, AB. She moved to Ontario with her family when she was a child, and returned to Calgary as a teenager. Ruth met Jack in Calgary and married him on August 12, 1961. She enjoyed a twenty-two year career with the Calgary Golf and Country Club; retiring from there in 2004. Besides her loving husband Jack, Ruth is also survived by her son, John Benkhe of Calgary; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Dave Kiteley of Essex, ON, and Violet and Bob Dickins of London, ON; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken Holden of McGregor, ON, Jim and Jo-Janet Holden of Belle River, ON, and Bert and Heather Holden of Port Colborne, ON; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Frank Strang of Port Clyde, NS, Betty and Ellard Kuehl of Pembroke, ON, Pat and Larry McGrath of Kingston, ON, and Donna Geofrey of Kingston, ON; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Winnifred and Clarence (Gus) Holden; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Elma Benkhe, Beverley and George Gagne, and Gordon Geofrey.
