Obituary of Florence Ann McLeod

Florence Ann McLeod (nee Grimwood) of Calgary passed away on Friday, May 5, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Florence was born on September 23, 1918 in Kingston, ON. She resided in numerous places across Canada, eventually Vancouver, Kelowna and lastly in Calgary. Her passion was her family, she was a kind fun loving person with a natural ability to care for others; she could often be found volunteering at a nursing home in Kelowna, BC. Her happiest times were with her children and grandchildren. She placed great value in her family – they were of utmost importance to her. Florence is survived by her daughters and a son-in-law, Sylvia and Doug Hockley of Sechelt, B.C., and Mary-Lou Connery of Calgary; grandchildren, Gregory (Nikki) and Kristina (Grant) Hockley of Vancouver, B.C., Sandra Connery (Eric Pringle), and Steven Connery;, of Calgary; great-grandchildren, Owen (1 year), Kyra (8 years), and Jack (3 weeks). She is also survived by her brother, Roger (June) Grimwood of Kingston, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her husband Gord; brother Jim; sisters, Win, Rose, Mary and Dorothy.
