Obituary of Lloyd Douglas Draper

Rev. Lloyd Draper, beloved husband of Mrs. Irene Draper of Calgary, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, April 29, 2006 at the age of 70 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lloyd was born May 12, 1935 in Toronto, ON. He graduated from Canadian Bible College in 1961. Rev. Draper had a rich pastoral ministry from 1959 until he retired in 2000. Along with Irene he served in Essex, Coburg, Hamilton and Kingston, ON; Kelowna, BC; Spruce Grove, AB; and District ministries in Alberta. Besides his loving wife of fifty years, Lloyd is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws and a daughter and son-in-law, Ken and Carla Draper of Calgary, Ruth-Anne and Ric Gilbertson of Venezuela, Bruce and Rhonda Draper of Kelowna; eight grandchildren whom he cherished, William, Michael, Owen, and Anna Draper, Derrick and Karissa Gilbertson, Dylan and Emily Draper. He is also survived by two sisters, Edythe Anne Draper and Dawn Draper. Funeral Services will be held at Foothills Alliance Church (333 Edgepark Blvd. N.W.) on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ian Trigg, Presider.
