Obituary of Cecilia Loveday

Cecilia passed away on Saturday April 29, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. Cecilia has gone to be reunited with her loving husband of 52 years, Edward, who passed away on June 11, 2005. Cecilia was born in Richmound Saskatchewan on December 30, 1933. Her commitment to her family brought strength to her children Donna (Craig), Kathy, Steve, Sandy (Brian), Karen, Connie (Sharon), and Diane (Nao). Cecilia loved her children unconditionally and they were a source of immense pride for her. Throughout her life Cecilia was deeply devoted to her family, and her generosity created a loving, secure and accepting home. Cecilia loved gardening, reading, travelling, crossword puzzles, shopping, sitting around the kitchen table chatting and playing cards, and JUST VANILLA ice cream. The hours of love Cecilia spent knitting and creating precious gifts of sweaters for children were seen as true works of art that were openly admired and sought after by all who saw them. Cecilia is survived by her sister Bertha and her brother Jack (Benny) and many nieces and nephews. Cecilia’s love and pride for her grandchildren was undaunted and she will be deeply missed by Chris (Nina), Jodi (James), Sean (Tamsyn), Adam, Cory, Matt, Ricky, Amy, Trista and Alisa. Her great granddaughter Emma will be looking for her Go-Go. Cecilia was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward (Ted) of 52 years on June 11, 2005; her brothers, Leo and Tony; sisters Ida, Suzy and Mona. Our memories and stories will be showered upon the two great grandchildren on the way. Cecilia loved flowers and any sent will be greatly appreciated.
