Obituary of Willi Schnell
Willi Schnell beloved father of Henry, passed away peacefully in his home in Calgary on April 27, 2006 at the age of 94 years.
Willi was born in Liepzig, Germany on November 04, 1911 and spent his early years working in Germany and was a great sports enthusiast, playing soccer, running marathon and active in scouting. Willi and Josephine with their son immigrated to Canada in 1957, starting a new life in Regina and later resided in Calgary for over forty years. Willi lived with vigour and continued an active life within Calgary, skating with the seniors’ skate program until only last year and he continually explored the world around him.
Willi is survived and will be missed by son Henry (Terilee), and by his loving companion Kate Hackl and her family. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Robert (Irene) Schnell and Pamela (Lucas) Wilson and great granddaughter Jocelyn Wilson.
