Obituary of E.J. Piper
E.J. “Betty” Piper (nee Roberts) of Calgary, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2006 at the age of 92 years.
Betty was born on August 19, 1913 in Winnipeg, MB. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Centennial Branch No. 285.
Betty is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law Ron Piper, and Wayne and Diane Piper, all of Calgary; four grandchildren, Ron Piper Jr., Debbie and her husband Glen Garvin, Alicia and her husband Shane Willy, and Michael and his fiancÚe Tamara Craig, all of Calgary; and great-grandchild Craig Garvin and his wife Emily. She was predeceased by her husband, retired Captain A.E. Bert Piper CD, LDSH (RC).
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow in the “Field of Honour” at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
