Obituary of Iris Delores Ann Rodych

Iris Rodych of Calgary, passed away on the fourth Sunday of Lent, March 26, 2006 at the age of 77 years. Iris was born on October 8, 1928 in Calgary. She received her education in Swift Current, continuing it in Moose Jaw. She was a long time resident of Frontier, SK and Prince Albert, SK. She has resided in Calgary for the past twelve years. Iris was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be remembered as a woman of great kindness, gentle persuasion, and quiet dignity. She was a woman of deep faith, prayer and devotion who was active in her church. As a teacher she was compassionate and understanding and her students adored her. Thank you Mom, for your love, faith and wisdom, and fine example to all of us. Predeceased by her husband of fifty-one years, Walter in 2000. Iris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Audrey and Terry Long; her sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Ramona, Ken and Laurelle, Greg and Nancy, Vince and Cheryl, and Murray and Natali; thirteen grandchildren, Tracey, David, Barrett, Rebecca, Nicole, Caitlin, Murray, Jason, Lisa, Jeffrey, Matthew, Jennifer, and Justin; her great-granddaughter Evelyn; her brother Ted White (Lorraine); and her sister Evelyn Murphy.
