Obituary of Ruth Buhr

Ruth Virginia Buhr (nee Pengilly) of Calgary, passed away the same way she lived, with grace, dignity and peace on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Ruth’s life was devoted to her family. She was there to comfort, cheer, and provide guidance to be caring compassionate people. She tended her cherished garden personally, even in her 87th year. Her three other passions were the daily and weekend crossword puzzles, playing bridge in various clubs and devouring thousands of novels. Most of all, she loved a good laugh and happy times with her many friends and family. Ruth will be remembered with love by her son and daughter-in-law Phil and Cathy; daughter and son-in-law Mary Jane and David; daughter in law Margaret; grandchildren, Christine, Adrienne (Darren), Cliff (Jen), Daniel and Kayla; and great grandchildren, Aidan, Kyra and Kalea. She was predeceased by her husband Ed in 2002, and son Tim in 1989. In celebration of Ruth’s life, an open house will be held at her home on Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
