Obituary of Robert Blayney

Robert “Mark” Blayney of Calgary passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the age of 49 years. Mark was born on October 13, 1956 in the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, AB. At five weeks old, Mark and his mother flew to Port of Spain, Trinidad, B.W.I. to join his father Alan, sister Debra and brother Douglas. Three years later, his brother Bill was born. Mark attended British private schools in Port of Spain. After graduation as a Wildlife Technician from Lethbridge Community College, he worked in Fish Creek Provincial Park raising and releasing young falcons. Mark built release cages for the raptors on the cliff side of Fish Creek, where the birds would be fed until they fledged. He loved to camp and fish with his family. He also enjoyed listening to classic rock and classical music. Mark is survived by his parents Alan and Jean; and his brothers, Douglas and Bill.
