Obituary of Maxine Moslow

Maxine Lynne Moslow passed away suddenly on March 15, 2006 in Sechelt, B.C. at the age of 54 years. Maxine was born in Alberton, PEI. As a young girl, she spent several years in Peshawar, Pakistan with her family. She graduated from the McGill University School of Nursing, received her BSc from the University of Calgary and did graduate work at Louisiana State University…Maxine held many positions in the nursing field such as critical care nurse, nurse practitioner, instructor at the Foothills Hospital and N.A.I.T. as well as organ transplant co-ordinator at the University of Alberta. She was respected and admired by numerous aspiring nursing students and professional colleagues in Calgary and Edmonton and was a beloved surrogate mother to many graduate students at Louisiana State University and University of Alberta. Maxine is survived by her mother Irene Clark; her children, Lauren Moslow and Ryan Moslow and their father Thomas Moslow; two sisters, Jacqueline (Peter Copple) and Lisa (Brian Dallin) and Maxine’s companion Frank Nelson.
