Obituary of Margaret Helliwell

We are saddened to announce the passing of Margaret Helliwell on Friday, March 17,2006 at the Brentwood Care Centre. Margaret was born in Mortlach, SK on July 20, 1920. She moved to Calgary with her mother in 1950 where she began a career in the oil and gas industry. Margaret worked with Alberta Gas Trunkline and Garnet Drilling as Administrative Assistant to the Presidents of both companies. Margaret was very proud of her Canadian heritage which dated back to the early 1700’s. This classy lady enjoyed gardening and working around her home, missing both greatly when she moved to the Seniors Residence at Colonel Belcher. Margaret will be greatly missed by her close friends, as well as the staff at the Brentwood Care Centre. She was predeceased by her parents, A.K. (Dick) and Ethel Helliwell.
