Obituary of Albert George Pippy

Albert (Al) George Pippy, beloved husband of Mrs. Marion Pippy of Calgary, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the age of 78 years. Al was born on January 11, 1928 in Toronto, ON. In 1951, he married Marion Henderson. He worked for many years with U.S. Steel, beginning at the mail desk in Toronto. Through hard work within U.S. Steel, Al became the Western Canada Sales Manager. Throughout the years Al and Marion enjoyed the new opportunities and friendships made while living in Montreal, Toronto, Windsor, Winnipeg and Calgary. Upon retiring in 1983, Al and Marion were able to travel; seeing Scotland, England, Victoria and Hawaii, as well as many other areas visiting family and friends. Passionate about sports, Al loved to golf, as well as enjoyed being a spectator of basketball, hockey and baseball. Besides his loving wife Marion, Al is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Monique Pippy of Vanderhoof, B.C.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Catherine Engstrom and Joan Moore of Winnipeg, Laura and Matt Huber of Calgary. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Megan and Michael Engstrom, Matthew and Daniel Moore, Bennett and Carter Huber, Steven, Leah, and William Pippy; as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family in Canada and Scotland.
