Jeremy Jeanes

Obituary of Jeremy Stephen Jeanes

Jeremy S. Jeanes, beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve and Terri Jeanes and older brother of Spencer Jeanes of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the age of 17 years. Jeremy was born and raised in Calgary, currently a grade twelve student at Bowness High School. Family summers were enjoyed at the lake. He will not easily be forgotten because of how special and unique he was; nor was he easily overlooked – by stature or greatness of heart. He connected with people of all ages and was cherished equally by all. How could you not love someone who could go from being a quick-witted comedian, to rallying as a needed confidante. His twinkling blue eyes, full of mischief, getting him into trouble one minute, and out of trouble the next. His improv. abilities, and unique brand of humour were second to none and always drew everyone to him. Jeremy loved all areas of computer creativity and was getting ready for SAIT’s “New Media” program. A passion for drama, he had an obvious natural ability. Eventually, his passion for computers blended with that, leading him to explore all aspects of film-making. Friends cherish the many unforgettable hours spent creating with him, skateboarding, playing basketball and the guitar. He loved his 1988 Sunbird GT; proud to finally get ‘wheels’, and of course his beloved Bull Terrier, Winston. He did so care for and protect his younger brother, Spencer, teaching him everything he knew. Jeremy could liven a room with his crazy antics and bring a smile to every heart. His joyful spirit helps to endure the grief – as he will be sorely missed. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
