Obituary of Violet Marie Fendall
Violet Marie Fendall, beloved wife of Jim Fendall of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at the age of 76 years.
Vi was born on August 22, 1929 on her family farm in Carstairs, AB. In 1946, she moved and settled in Calgary. A dedicated mother, she was always concerned with the welfare of her family. Vi was a Rotary Ann with the Rotary Club of Calgary, as well as an active member of her church. She had a passion for cooking and dining, and loved to be out and about shopping at the mall or visiting with her friends. Kind, generous, loveable and outgoing, Vi will be sorely missed by her family and many dear friends.
Besides her husband of fifty-five years, Jim, Vi is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Lorne Plantje, Valerie and Richard Tiede; sons Dale and Jay; grandchildren, Joel Thacker, Laura and Nicholas Plantje, Amy and Natalie Roe, Emily Fendall, James Lee, Jacqueline and Dean Fendall, Alex Sorenson, Paul and Scott Tiede; great-granddaughter Awstyn Fendall; loving brother Roy Weitz; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Marie Weitz; sisters Rose Weitz and Lily Anhorn; and brothers Albert and Rueben.
Funeral Services will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour (8831 Fairmount Drive S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 0Z4) on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor Lee Woolery Presider.
