Obituary of Alice Zelda Hunt

Alice Zelda Hunt (nee Foster) of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 84 years. Alice was born to Norman and Aldyth Foster on July 11, 1921 in Consort, AB. Throughout her life Alice was a dedicated wife and mother; devoted to her precious family and many friends. She was compassionate, loving and could find the best in everyone she met. She had a sharp mind, a wonderful sense of humour and a love for life. She was a gracious hostess who enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Alice was a cherished member of the Army and Navy Ladies Auxiliary, as well as the Elks Club and Canadian Legion. Her greatest virtue was the ability to love her family and friends so completely – leaving all of us with many cherished memories. Alice is lovingly remembered and will be profoundly missed by her beloved husband and best friend, Frederick Ralph; son Ron of B.C; four grandchildren, Tracy (Webster), Travis, Ryan, and Alana (Darren); daughter-in-law Lindy; her dear sister Rothnie Thompson; sister-in-law Irene Foster; and loving friend Barb St. Germain (Chris). She leaves to cherish her memory nieces and nephews, and many loving relatives and dear friends. Alice was predeceased by her son Reg; brothers Herald and Clarence; brother-in-law Hyland Thompson; and sister-in-law Hilda Jameison. A Celebration of Alice’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, March 10, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
