Obituary of Joseph John Stephen Tester

Joseph Tester, beloved husband of Florence Tester of Airdrie, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the age of 78 years. Joseph was born on March 12, 1927, in Toronto, Ontario to Frederick and Mary Tester. He married Florence in Toronto in April of 1958. Joe worked as a trust officer with a number of Calgary Trust companies. During his working years, and following his retirement, Joe was an active volunteer in a number of fields as well as the Knights of Columbus. He was an instructor with the Calgary Christopher leadership course, Saint Vincent de Paul Society, Meals on Wheels, and he also served on the board of the Drop In Centre. Besides his loving wife Florence, Joseph is survived by his two sons and daughter in law Stephen and Sandee of Calgary, and Timothy of Airdrie; his daughter Paulette of Olds; three grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew of Penticton, BC, and Laurel of Calgary; his two sisters, Helen Hyland of Toronto and Mary (Jim) Lindsay of Maplewood, NB; his sister in law Clorinda (Leo) Tester of Bolton, ON; as well as many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his brother Leo and sisters Veronica, Margaret, Agnes and Theresa. Prayers and tributes will be held at the Town and Country Centre (275 Jensen Drive N.E., Airdrie) today, February 23, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Town and Country Centre ( 275 Jensen Drive N.E., Airdrie) on Friday February 24, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.
