Obituary
Obituary of Kathryn F. Campau
Kay Campau, of Calgary, passed away in her sleep on Monday, February 20, 2006, after a brief illness.
Kay was born in Bay City, Michigan, where she met and married Don, her best friend and dearly loved husband of sixty years. Kay and Don moved to Calgary in 1967, where Kay enjoyed playing cards with her friends, baking and shopping. After Don retired, they traveled around North America, visiting family and friends, but Kay never wanted to move away from Calgary as she wanted to be near most of her children and grandchildren who live in the Calgary area. One of her regrets this last two years was that she and Don were not able to travel as far as they used to go, so they had not been able to get to California to see Dave, Jen and Cody.
Kay is survived by Don; her daughters, Kay (Bob) and Mary (Rick); her sons, Rob (Denise) and Dave (Jen); and eight grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Scott, Elysia, Wayne, Darryl, Richard, and Cody. Kay’s family thanks the staff in the Coronary Care Unit of the Rockyview General Hospital for the incredible care and attention that they gave to Kay this last week. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14th St. N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 Telephone: (403) 264-5549, www.heartandstroke.ca.
