Obituary of Cristiani de Massot

Hilda passed away peacefully in Calgary on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 five days shy of her 85th birthday. Hilda was a courageous woman who overcame many hardships in her native Argentina. In 1981, she settled in Canada, where she made her family her main focus while fulfilling her long-time dream of discovering other cultures. She had a zesty sense of humour, a passion for reading, and a love for traveling. Hilda is survived by her son Enrique (Yolanda); daughters, Marina and Diana (Hector); former son-in-law Jorge; her grandchildren Lorena, Hernan (Stephanie), Kevin, Melisa, Diana, Marcos, Claudia, Andres, Emily, and Daniel; and also by her great-grandchildren Angel, Vanessa, Tiana, and Simon. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Enrique; daughter Amalia; and sisters Matilde and Ofelia. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew her. At Hilda’s request no service will be held. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Carewest Sarcee Hospice, where she received loving care and dedication during her stay.
