Obituary of Elfreida Alice May Falkenberg

Elfreida May Falkenberg of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at the age of 97 years. Elfreida was born on January 28, 1909 in Chatham, Kent, England. She immigrated to Canada at a very young age where she settled in Edmonton, AB. She married Harry Falkenberg on November 19, 1938 and shared sixty-five happy years with him. Elfreida and Harry were involved in many types of businesses and lived in many locations throughout Alberta and British Columbia. She was a voracious reader of magazines and newspapers and liked to keep up with the stock market and sporting events. She had a great memory for people and special occasions-never forgetting a birthday or anniversary. She is lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Terry and Colleen; older sister Kathleen Francis of Parksville, B.C.; four grandchildren, Kerry, Dan, Lucas and Evelina as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Harry Falkenberg. Elfreida will be deeply missed and will hold a special place in our hearts forever. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, February 17, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
