Obituary of Helen Nash
Surrounded by her loving family Helen Nash passed away after emergency surgery at the age of 78 years.
Helen, affectionately called “Hapa”, will be greatly missed by her nieces Marnie and Dawnee (Tony); great-niece Sherrie (Ken); her god-children Tarren and Bonnie (John); brother-in-law Donald; nephews, Dennis (Terry) and Fred (Joy). She is also survived by Linda; great-nieces Susie, Cindy, Rhonda, and Terra; and great-nephews, Justin and Scott.
Hapa was recently predeceased by sisters Marg and Liz; niece Vallee; and nephew Terry, who meant very much to her and she missed greatly.
Hapa was born to Sam and Mary in Yorkton, SK. She left school early to help support the family when her father went overseas during WWII. When he returned they purchased and worked the hotel and restaurant in Roleau, SK. Hapa then worked many years for the Metropolitan Stores until she retired. Hapa was our “second man” being there for birthdays, special occasions and was caregiver when we were sick. Hapa never married, but had many admirers. She devoted her life to her extended family, putting them firsts before herself. Hapa will leave a big void in our lives and we will really miss her. Hapa would never say “goodbye” so Hapa until we see you again.
