Obituary of Marion Elizabeth McLay

Marion Elizabeth (Betty) McLay of Calgary passed away on Monday, February 13, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Betty was born on September 1, 1915 in Hamilton Lanarkshire, Scotland and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1947. She was a creative person, who enjoyed pottery, petti point, and was a wonderful weaver. Betty lived on Bow Crescent and loved living in the Bowness area. Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marion and Rob Moorhead, of Calgary, AB; two grandchildren Gillian Moorhead-Marshall, of Calgary, and Grant Moorhead, of Vancouver, BC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in BC, Scotland, and England. Betty was predeceased by her husband John McLay in 1996. A Family Gathering will be held at a later date.
