Obituary of Eleanor Sweetland

Eleanor Sweetland passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Eleanor was born on January 10, 1917 in Wrexham, North Wales. She immigrated to Canada with her family in the mid 1930’s. Eleanor met her husband Thomas while he was training in Calgary with the RAF during WWII. Eleanor will be dearly missed by her children, Alfred (Jean), John (Barbara), Harry, Robert (Glenda), Kathleen (Edwin) O’Mahony, Paul; and eight grandchildren, Shelley, Christopher, Noel, Tom, Jane, Kelly, Colleen, and Toni. Eleanor is also survived by one remaining brother Emyr Jones of Cochrane. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas of fifty-four years in 1997.
