Obituary of Mildred Berglot Turley

Mildred Turley, of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Mildred was born at Claresholm, AB on September 29, 1919. The family lived in Cereal, AB, Vulcan, AB, and later in Diamond City, AB. On February 17, 1940 she married Marvin and moved to Vulcan. While in Vulcan, Gordon, Stanley, Diane, and Ronald were born. In 1946 the family moved to Nanton, AB where Norman was born. The Turley band would play at dances in Nanton. The family loved to holiday at Waterton Park, and Radium Hot Springs. They spent most weekends camping and fishing. In 1958 the family moved to Calgary, AB. Mildred is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Diane and Alvin Polok; her sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Dorothy, Stanley and Verna (Joan), Norman and Helen; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; as well as her sisters-in-law, Marion and Ethel Thompson. She was predeceased by her husband Marvin in 1982; her son Ronald in 1992; sister Lily Anne Walker; brothers, Trygve, Clarence, Gordon, and Ralph Thompson; and her parents Nels and Borghild Thompson.
