Obituary of Andrew Bernard Chovanez

Andrew (Andy) Bernard Chovanez, beloved husband of Mariedda Chovanez of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2006, surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Mariedda Chovanez; twin daughters Carole Mellor and Michele Chovanez; sons-in-law Gary Mellor and Craig Rutar; and extended family members in Europe. Andy’s thirty-three year career with Sears Canada brought him great fulfillment and many friends. He was extremely proud of his two daughters – his love endless. He had a great passion for travel, building, reading, chess and finance. He was a generous and loving husband, father and friend. His family, many friends and close acquaintances will sorrowfully miss him. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church (1923 Broadview Road N.W.) on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Gregory Roetker Presiding.
