Obituary of Evelyn Wilson
Evelyn Wilson of Calgary passed away peacefully on February 9, 2006. She was born May 7, 1913 in Saskatoon, SK. Evelyn was one of four girls born to Robert and Maud Allison. She will be deeply missed and always loved by nieces Marion (Don) Anderson, Doreen (Dallas) Hovey and nephews Ross (Mary) Wemp, Ralph (Pat) Kraft, Ken (Sylvia) Stowell and Terry (Nancy) Stowell as well as numerous great and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Marge, Kay, Iva, and her husband, Jack.
Evelyn and Jack were members of the Elk’s club, Moose Lodge and the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada. They spent many hours volunteering their time to the betterment and survival of these clubs. They both loved gardening and had beautiful lawns and flower gardens at their homes in Calgary. Evelyn was a member of the Northmount Baptist Church and Confederation Park Seniors Group. She is forever grateful to her friends there and at the Hillcrest Nursing Home who took the time to make her final years enjoyable.
A Funeral Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev.
