Obituary of Zita Alberta McDonald

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Zita Alberta McDonald of Calgary, on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the age of 92 years. Zita is survived by her sons, Patrick and Terry; daughter Mary Lou (Clem); daughter-in-law Carolyn; her sister Nellie Mahl of Saskatoon; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Swayze of Saskatoon and Lillian “Tooser” Payne of Calgary; brother-in-law Rev. Dennis McDonald of Lethbridge; eight grandchildren, Jane (Mark), Sean (Cristy), Mathieu, Joshua, Mick (Vicky), Jamie (Becky), Colin, and Sara (Ken); eleven great-granchildren, Krista, Amanda, Natasha, Samantha, Emma, Sophie, Seamus, Zita, Damien, Adam, and Elly. She was predeceased by her husband Hugh; son Tim; grandson Daniel; brothers, Joe and Lloyd; and sisters, Marie, Regina, Leone, and Winnie. Her beloved daughter-in-law Mary Beth of Edmonton, passed away on February 9, 2006 as well. “Granny” brought sunshine to the lives of all and was deeply devoted to her family and faith. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14th Street S.W.) on Sunday, February 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14th Street S.W.) on Monday, February 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.
