Obituary of Jean Murray

Jean Murray passed away on Monday, February 6, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Jean was born and raised in Winnipeg, moving to Calgary with her husband Bill and young family in 1950. An avid curler, Jean had many fond memories of good times spent at the Calgary Curling Club, Calgary Winter Club and North Hill Curling Club. Throughout her life, Jean spent much of her time as a valued volunteer with Meals on Wheels, Operation Eyesight, VRRI, and many other Church and charity organizations. Her primary focus was unconditional love for her family and friends. She leaves only positive memories of a life well lived. Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill in 2001 and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Don (Pat), Murray and Linda (Warren) Hodgins; cherished grandmother to Heather (Mike) Nusl and David (Kim) Murray; three great-grandchildren Erik, Thomas and Sarah; brother Ken (Jo) Curry; sisters-in-law Bobbie Reid and Mary Mahood and their families.
