Obituary of Charlotte Adelaid Houston

Charlotte Adelaid Houston (nee Hamilton) passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, February 6, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Charlotte is survived by her sister Jean Marchbank; her three children, Sandy, Cameron and Kim; four grandchildren, Jon, Kelly, Tabitha, and Kealy; and six great-grandchildren, Garrett, Keifer, Rowan, Max, Alexandra, and Noah. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband John Fraser Houston in 1964, who truly was the love of her life. After the passing of John, Charlotte trained as an Accountant – a profession which she practiced in Windsor, ON until the age of seventy-two. As a single mother of three children, Charlotte supported her family while providing the motivation for both her children and grandchildren to follow their chosen careers. After retirement, Charlotte moved to Calgary where she was an active volunteer in the “grandparents program” at Silver Springs Elementary School. Charlotte loved her family, chocolate and dancing. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, February 10, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.
