Obituary of Kenneth George Brennan

With sadness and deep regret, we announce Ken’s sudden passing on Monday, January 30, 2006, in Calgary. Ken was born in Birtle, MB, where at the age of eighteen he joined the RCAF. With his beloved wife Thelma, of fifty-nine years, he enjoyed the opportunity to travel the world and serve his country. Snowbirds, Ken and Thelma spent many winters in Mesa, AZ golfing and enjoying time with their friends. Ken loved to fish and took pleasure in a spirited game of pool .He was always up for a game of cards; cribbage and “65” being his two favorites. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Thelma, two daughters, Marilyn Archer of Whiterock, BC, Ardella Freko (Mitch) of Calgary; sister Ardella Claydon of Winnipeg, MB; six grandchildren, Deanna, Ardella, Jodi, Brent, Drew and Jayleen ; many nieces, nephews and good friends; and his four legged companion, Lily. Ken has now reunited with his only son, Dwayne Arthur. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Lewry, Presider Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion (#285 Poppy Fund, 9202 Horton Rd S.W., Calgary, AB, T2V 2X4).
