Obituary
Obituary of Percy Wells
The family of Wayne Wells is sad to announce his sudden passing on Monday, January 30, 2006 in Calgary at the age of 60.
Wayne was raised in Senlac, SK and he enjoyed a full and spirited childhood before leaving for the University of Saskatchewan to pursue his education. In 1967, Wayne moved to Calgary to seek his fortune in the booming oil industry. While the oil business did become his career, his greater fortune was in meeting his beloved wife Susan with whom he raised three children. Wayne was a devoted father, husband, son, and grandfather who loved travel, the outdoors and thought provoking conversation. He had a lengthy career as a Landman in the Oil and Gas industry, having worked with several junior oil and gas companies. Wayne thoroughly enjoyed the art of negotiating and the excitement of exploration. His many business acquaintances were among his dearest friends and he never gave a thought to retirement.
Wayne will be dearly missed by his wife Susan; sons Adam (MaryAnne), Devon (Cristina) and their son Cairo; daughter Lisa; mother Phyllis; brother Derry (Shelley); mother-in-law Hope Dunbar; sister-in-law Kay (Tom) Inkpen; as well as many very special nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Wayne was predeceased by his father Elgin. Wayne was a very kind, thoughtful and respected man who will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
