Obituary of Kit Jing Kwok

Kit Jing Kwok went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the age of 83 years. Kit was born and raised in Chiu Kwan, China. After graduating from Chiu Kwan Teachers Training College, she assisted her father in their family business. She met and married her husband, Ping Kee of sixty years in Canton. Together they established their family and successful business in Hong Kong. They immigrated to Canada in 1980 and lived in Vancouver, Toronto, and finally settled in Calgary in 1993, and it was here that Kit Jing was baptised. Her greatest achievement in life was raising godly and well-educated children and grandchildren. Kit loved life, Chinese Literature, calligraphy, traveling, sewing, cooking, and being with family and friends. Kit Jing is survived by her husband, Ping Kee; their children Frances (Leon) of New York, Mary (Alain) of Toronto, Yvonne (Pak Keong) of Calgary, Sunny (Rita) of Toronto, and Edmund (Fior) of Hong Kong; and eleven grandchildren, Clement, Jeremy, Melanie, Justin, Arthur, Andrew, Amanda, Chantelle, Jasmine, Sherlotte, and Long Long. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and much beloved extended family. Kit was predeceased by her son, Chiu-yee. Lam; and his staff as well as to the home care team, especially to Melody and Pam for the on-going support over the last several years of Kit’s life.
