Obituary of Helen Lonvik

Helen Oline Lonvik of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2006 after a courageous struggle with cancer at the age of 75 years. Helen was born on November 14, 1930 in Calgary, and was proud to be a native Calgarian. She was a graduate of University of Alberta and University of Calgary, and was a high school teacher through most of her life. She was later active on the Alumni Association and the Senate at the University of Calgary. Helen enjoyed travelling and playing the stock market. She will be lovingly remembered by her seven nieces and nephews, Carolyn Stone; Susan Stone and Glenn Hebron, Joseph and Tamara Stone, Barbara Benson, Gordon Lonie, Lori and Edward DeWitt and Lance Lonvik, as well as many great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be held at the University Club, 4th floor, McEwan Student Centre, on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
