Obituary of Elva Grossi

Elva Grossi of Calgary, passed away peacefully with all her family by her side, on Monday, January 30, 2006 at the age of 77 years. Elva was born on June 7, 1928 in Villalago, L’Aquila Italy. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose life revolved around her family. Elva was caring and generous, opening her home to her friends and strangers. Anyone who knew Elva will remember her outgoing, lively personality. She was predeceased by her parents Carmela Colangeli and Domenico Grossi; husband Dino Grossi, her brother Filiberto Grossi; sisters Maria Panattoni and Rosina Costantini and her nephew Carmelo Grossi. She is survived by her son Domenic Grossi (Antonia); and their children Laura, Alessandra and Rita; daughter Anna Murchison (Glenn), and their children Sam Fusaro, Amanda Fusaro and Carla; also her great-grandson Noah; sister-in-law Lina Grossi and nephews Leo and Roger Grossi and their families; her sister-in-law Dora and family; brothers-in-law Dario and family all of Italy, Antonio and family in Australia; nephews Fernando and Sandy Panattoni and their families. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
