Obituary of Esther German
GERMAN – Esther Frances
Sept 21, 1918 – Jan 28, 2006
Esther passed away peacefully at the AgapÚ Hospice after a courageous battle following a stroke. Even in this battle she showed us many moments of her great sense of humour, love of family, unfaltering Faith and a dignity with which she lived her life.
Esther was born in the Oyen, AB area and grew up in the Bluffton region. She married and had five children. She also lived in Olds and finally settled in Calgary. Esther married John German in 1973 and was proud to add five new children to her life.
Esther is survived by her husband John German; their children Rita Carmichael, Faye Lux, Jeannette (Barry) Sept, Don Potter, Wayne (Maryanne) German, Neil (Anne) German, Jeannette Bremault, Lyle (Linda) German; brother George Crowley; sisters Flora Dick and Anna Holland. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and much beloved extended family and friends.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) today, January 30, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Rolando Badiola, Presider. Graveside Service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Olds Cemetery , Olds, AB. We wish to acknowledge the wonderful care given by all the Doctor’s and caregivers on Unit 111 at the Foothills Hospital and AgapÚ Hospice, and especially the compassion they showed our family.
