Obituary of William Donald Habkirk

William Donald (Bill) Habkirk, beloved husband of Mildred Habkirk of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2006, after a long illness at the age of 74 years. Bill was born on October 22, 1931 in Peace River, AB. He received his two trades and his Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. On April 26, 1952, Bill married Mildred in High Prairie, AB. Bill taught high school for the CBE for twenty-three years and retired in 1995. He was a member of the ATA. Bill’s greatest achievement in life was his family. Besides his loving wife, Bill is also survived by his children, Jim, Peggy (Mel) Otteson, Donald (Beverly), and Bobbi, all of Calgary; and by a brother and sister. Bill was predeceased by his parents; and his grandson Glenn Otteson. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
