Obituary of Joyce Stephure

Joyce Lilian Stephure, beloved wife of John Allan Stephure of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Joyce was born on April 22, 1918 in Calgary, AB. She was a talented pianist earning her Solo Performer from the Toronto Conservatory of Music. She loved children dearly and enjoyed teaching music at home and Home Economics at Gilbert Paterson Jr. High School in Lethbridge for many years. Joyce was an active volunteer in the United Church U.C.W. and C.G.I.T. She loved to read and garden but her greatest passion was her children and grandchildren. Joyce will be missed by her husband John A. Stephure; John W. and Meredith Stephure of Cochrane, Dr. David and Christine Stephure of Calgary, Richard Stephure and fiancÚe Eva of Calgary, and Joy and Doug Brennan of Bragg Creek; ten grandchildren, Rob, Matt, Anne-Marie, Tim, Carolyn, Janine, Logan, Cameron, Jackson and Carson; and brother and sister-in-law Bill and Donna Stemp of Calgary. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (404 – 4th Ave. North), Cochrane, AB. on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Greg Clark, Presider.
