Obituary of George Sexton
George Sexton passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the age of 92 years.
George was born in Manitoba, he moved to Lethbridge in the 1930’s where he met his wife of fifty-six years, Peggy (Margaret Livingstone). A great believer in repairing and reusing, George worked as an auto mechanic, first for the Forestry Service in the Kananaskis Valley and Dennys Garage in High River and finally as an instructor at “the Tech” (SAIT) in Calgary. George is survived by two sisters Dorothy and Beulah living in Manitoba, as well as in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, daughter Barbara, grandchildren Andy and Kare and their spouses and two great grandchildren, Wynn and Aslin. In recognition of his great love of the mountains, a celebration of George’s life will be held in the Kananaskis Valley in the summer.
