Obituary of Anthony Schwartzenberger
Tony Schwartzenberger, beloved husband of Norma (nee Little) of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the age of 86 years.
Tony was born on December 1, 1919 on his dad’s farm in Beiseker, AB. He had a passion for nature and animals especially his dog Buster. Tony was a veteran of WWII, a member of the Black Watch, and he survived a Labour Camp as a Prisoner Of War. He lived his faith with special devotion to Our Lady. Tony was a devoted family man. He was married for fifty-nine years and a father of eight.
Besides his loving wife Norma, Tony is survived by his family, Mary Ann and Ray Buchanan, Grant and Leila Schwartzenberger, Donna and Bill Garland, Kathy and Dale Goodwin, Shelley and Kelly Hostland, Joe Schwartzenberger, daughter-in-law Shauna and Jack Fenton; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as his sister Cele Feser. Tony was predeceased by his two sons, Wayne in 1972, at the age of 25, and Lawrence in 1978, at the age of 24.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. William Stephenson Presider.
