Obituary of Rose Charlotte Szonyi

Rose Szonyi of Calgary passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the age of 85 years. Rose was born on September 5, 1920 in Debrecen, Hungary. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Charlotte and Duane Keinick and Martha Szonyi, all of Calgary and Judy Szonyi and Tom Dobbie of Vancouver, BC; step-sons, Alexander and Lisa Szonyi of Maple Ridge, BC; Frank and Ildiko Szonyi of Victoria; her two granddaughters, Robyn Keinick and Dr. Paul Fedak, and Cristy and Steve Leonard; her step-grandchildren, Roy, Sandy, Frances, Lisa, Frank Jr. and Sheila; and her two sisters, Elizabeth Joo of Calgary and Bojka Kovari of Hungary; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband Alexander. The family wishes to thank our cousin Maria Nemethy, who was a Godsend to us when we needed her most. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev.
