Obituary of Fred Gordanier
Frederick (Fred) Roy Gordanier of Calgary, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the age of 87 years.
Fred was born on March 11, 1918 in Edmonton and was raised in the Okotoks area (Allan School District). He farmed in the area for over fifty years until the late 1970’s. Fred and his wife Joan retired to Calgary where they continued to enjoy their family and the outdoors. Fred is survived by his family, Diane and Michael Hobley of Edmonton, Maureen and Randy Turner of North Vancouver, Kenneth and Gabriele Gordanier, and Robert Gordanier both of Calgary; five grandchildren, Jo-laine Godfrey, Trena Neathway, (John Yee), Kristi and Stefanie Turner, Justin Gordanier; two great-grandchildren, Trent Godfrey and Kai Yee. He was predeceased by his wife Joan, brother Harvey Gordanier and sister Muriel Beavers.
