Obituary of Mary Ava Berrington
Mary Ava Berrington of Calgary passed away on Friday, January 13, 2006 at the age of 93 years.
Mary was born on April 30, 1912 in McGregor, MB. She spent many years as an executive secretary at Dairy Queen’s head office in Calgary, AB. Mary married her second husband, Jack Berrington in 1967, with whom she enjoyed camping, hiking and travelling.
Mary is survived by her step-son, John Berrington, of New Westminster, BC; brother-in-law Russel Pugh; her nieces and nephews, Betty (Clarence) Koldyk, William (Pam) Pugh, and their daughter Victoria, and Barry (Marie) Pugh, all of Portage la Prairie, MB; as well as two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Jack Berrington in 1998.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held in the ‘Prayer Chapel”, Level One, at the Bethany Care Centre (916 – 18A Street N.W.) on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jennifer Hauck, Presider. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
