Obituary of George Gerald Hoffos

George Gerald (Gerry) Hoffos, beloved husband of forty-four years of Barbara (Holler), passed away on Monday, January 16, 2006 after a prolonged fight with cancer at the age of 65 years. Gerry was born on April 30, 1940 in Lucky Lake, SK to George and Dorothy Hoffos (Tucker). Most of Gerry’s school years were spent in Rosetown, SK where he met Barb. The family cottage at Anglin Lake, SK holds special memories for all his family and friends. Golf was his passion and Gerry had plans for many more rounds with his sons and buddies at Priddis Greens. Besides his loving wife, Gerry is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Rhonda, and their sons, Ryan, Troy, Shaye, Hayden, and George, David and Mary-Anne and his son Mason, and Bob and Kelly and their children, Oren, Sam, Katie, Charlie, Emily, Johnny, Heidi, Adelaide, Anna, and Billy. Gerry is also survived by two sisters Sue (Bill) Hyslop, Sondra (Harley) Summach; and his brother Tracey (Debbie); as well as ten nephews and nieces and their families. A Celebration of Gerry’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
