Obituary of Alexander William Holobow

Alexander William Holobow of Calgary passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the age of 74 years. Alexander was born on November 1, 1931 in Vulcan, AB. He moved to Vauxhall, AB until 1951 and then moved to Calgary, AB where he has resided ever since. Alexander is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy, of Vancouver, BC, Ron and Rima, and David, all of Calgary, AB; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Kevin Boyce, of Mission, BC; as well as two granddaughters McKenzie and Nadia. He is also survived by two sisters Nellie McCartney of Alberta, and Shirley Bortnak of Calgary, AB. Alexander was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and John; and three sisters Lorraine Paulson, Jean Roberts and Helen Brittain-Holoboff. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
