Obituary of Hoye John Caine

Hoye John Caine, beloved husband of Dorothy Caine, of Calgary passed away at home with his loving family at his side on January 8, 2006 at the age of 79 years. Hoye was born on October 24, 1926, in Superior, WY. He graduated with honours from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. On June 10, 1950, he married Dorothy Williams. Hoye had a career in the oil and gas industry as a Professional Geologist for over fifty-five years. In 1963, they settled and worked in Calgary where he found a love of the Calgary Stampeders and enjoyed gardening. Being surrounded by his family, Hoye cherished his time with his grandchildren, who were a great source of pride and joy in his life. Besides his loving wife Dorothy, Hoye is also survived by his children, son Larry and his wife Louise, son Randy and his wife Peggi Petersen, daughter Barbara and her husband Joseph Cassinat, son Scott and his wife Rose, son Doug and his wife Jackie; grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Miranda, Kylie, Jared, Daniel, Deanna, Tyler, Benjamin, Matthew, Jonathan and Katherine, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Deon and Lewis McNalley of Woodscross, UT; brother-in-law Jit Powers, Baton Rouge, LA; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Lucy Caine; two brothers James and Sonny Boy and three sisters, Sally, Marion, and Eliza.
