Obituary of Sherry Louise Kerr
It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the tragic death of Sherry Louise Kerr on Thursday January 5, 2006 at the age of 43 years.
Sherry’s greatest joy in life was her son Zachary – they were each other’s world. In 1994, Sherry along with her dear friend and business partner Ellen Percival, established Calgary’s Child Magazine with a goal to bring local parenting information to Calgary families. Since then the award winning publication has helped shape programs and services for Calgary families and it will be a lasting legacy and tribute to Sherry.
Sherry will be lovingly remembered by her son, Zachary Alexander; her brother Dr. James Kerr (Anita) of Saskatoon; and sisters Karen Kerr and Denise McLeod (Allan). Sherry will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces, as well as many other relatives and friends. Sherry was predeceased by her mother and father, Diane Louise and Roy Andrew Kerr; her brother, Arthur William (Rusty) Kerr; and Zachary’s father, Erik Kockerbeck.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (541 Silvergrove Drive N.W.) on Thursday, January 12th at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (541 Silvergrove Drive N.W.) on Friday, January 13, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with a potluck reception following. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in trust for Zachary Kockerbeck at any RBC bank in Calgary or Saskatoon.
